Hi,

How is your contour roam doing, is it still waterproof without a case?

And would you expect there will be a problem losing the camera as there seems to be no locking mechanism on the camera? At least on contour+ the locks are only featured on the case.

thanks,
Taavi

Just stumbled across this. Do you know if the Weipa to Karumba ferry is still operating to take a bike and passengers?

Cheers

Right on, Tom. You've summed it up perfectly. My only change would be not to include TO in ANY of these negotiations. The decline of the ASBK has been in direct proportion to the increase in his influence in Australian motorcycle racing.

As for "professionalism", welcome to the club. I haven't been paid for my work at the 2009 Six Hour yet, nor do I expect to be.

There is so much there that I not only agree with but formed part of the submission that the MRRDA put to MA to take over the superbikes. Funny how a lot of what we put together was suddenly announced by IEG when they got "awarded" the series, yet not followed through as they had no idea what had gone on behind the scenes. If the true industry vote was made public, I'm sure that some people would have to come up with some pretty quick answers! Number 1 item on the agenda, must be a reform at MA with David White stepping down. Anything short of that will only result in the same old same old! With Mr White aside, the sport could start to rebuild. Number 2 on the agenda would be getting the riders to understand the importance of their marketability. Something that we are working really hard on with the Juniors in the MRRDA. anyway. I could go on for a long time but will stop here!

Wow, not only the criticism but some solutions and suggestions too. Thank you, that is perhaps one of the best balanced views I have read and your profesional attitude is sorely needed in Australian motorcycle racing promotors. I wish you had the funds and the desire to tackle it yourself. As such, I hope some of those bodies and individuals involved read and perhaps even take head of some of the solutions and attempt to implement them.

Well said.
