About Me

Tom Reynolds

Aston Martin DB9 Sport- The car that God drives. And me.

Born on or around (or near) 1971, I am a freelancer who does not specialise.

In the past I have been a Web Agency Account Manager, presented motoring and motor sport on Fairfax Radio 3AW, was the media manager for the Australian Superbikes in 2009 and the Australian Rally Championship in 2010.

At present I am a media consultant with Promoso Pty Ltd- better known variously as Walkinshaw Racing, Holden Special Vehicles and Walkinshaw Performance.

I also do media consulting to a number of events and organisations- to stay current, check my In The Media section.

When asked nicely, I  say “Yes, I’d love to be your MC/event host”. From sportsman’s nights to trivia nights and related, I’m a keen and enthusiastic speaker who always does his research.

When broke and/or impressed I also do the odd advertisment and TVC/Web video for the highest bidder. Bill Hicks may not like it, but then he’s not here to beat me up.

I’m also highly knowledgable and experienced in the online space. As noted ab0ve, I spent nigh on 10 years as a Web Account Manage. Of late I have begun to spend more time framing ideas and execution in social media for a number of different companies. This work forms the backbone of my consulting work, but is still not quite as sexy as commentating on F1 or MotoGP, so it’s last in this profile. My accountant says it ought to be first. My wife says I just “better get a damn job”. Whatever…

Speaking of the “trouble and strife“, I’m married to the wonderful and patient Rachel. We have a lil rug rat/chip off the ol’ block named Harry. He was born in July 2008 and is both awesomely fun as well as a total ballbreaker. His little sister Josephine Louise followed in October 2010, some 4 hours after I flew home from the biggest V8 event of the year, the Bathurst 1000. Well played me!? (and Rachel and maybe Josie too!)

Outside of my work interests I’m into things that are still strangely work related. I love technology, games and fiddling with stuff I am totally not qualified to even look at. Outdoors I like to windsurf when it’s howling, pedal a mountain bike downhill, snowboard, do a track day, race motocross, go camping (rougher the better) tend to my veggie garden.

Ok, so that’s me. Feel free to get in in touch via my contact page- copies of my CV as well as my rates for writing, broadcasting and consulting are available on request or call me- 0409 964 549.

Regards

Tom
